JAKARTA - PT Mustika Ratu Tbk (MRAT) targets to increase its net profit by 1% - 5% at the end of 2018. Despite the loss of Rp 1.28 billion recorded in December 2017, the company recorded net profit of Rp 1.04 billion in the first semester of 2018.
Boma Kharista, Corporate Secretary of PT Mustika Ratu Tbk (MRAT) said that the bottom line-target profit is 1% at the very least. Meanwhile, its profit had reached 65 points in the first semester of 2018. “We are expecting to reach 1% with considering the cost efficiency and increased the sales productivity,” said he, in Jakarta.
According to Kharista, with the cost efficiency and support from shareholders in marketing, the company believes to be able to increase the sales and reach the target revenue. The government also helps to support its business by providing some regulations that could attract local products to be more competitive, such as at the time when BPOM (National Agency of Drug and Food Control) pulled some imported lipsticks from circulation in Indonesia.
“We are thankful with the government regulations that are really supportive towards local market, cultural wisdom- based products,” added he. (LK/AR/W)
