JAKARTA - PT Asuransi Kresna Mitra Tbk (ASMI), an insurance company in Indonesia, aims to increase more of retail contribution to revenues in 2019. Retail contributed previously just by 20% to the total revenues in 2018, decreased from 30% in 2017.
Pepe Arinata, President Director of PT Asuransi Kresna Mitra Tbk (ASMI) stated that the company increased the revenues contribution from two segments, Corporation and Retail. However, the Corporation segment grew much higher than Retail. "In 2017, the contribution segment was 70%:30% between Corporation and Retails, and last year, the contribution was 80%:20%," he said.
According to Arinata, the company is trying to synergy with another company to create products that can be bundled with Retail products.
In 2018, Asuransi Kresna recorded Rp 342.35 billion of gross premium, rose from Rp 319.89 billion in 2017. The income from underwriter rose from Rp 124.46 billion to Rp 135.63 billion, and the current profit is recorded growing from Rp 52.74 billion Rp 69.90 billion.
In 2018, Motor Vehicle contributed Rp 89.84 billion to net premium income, followed by fire at Rp 23.76 billion, marine cargo at Rp 13.03 billion, and miscellaneous at Rp 8.99 billion. (LK/W)
