JAKARTA - PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SMGR) recorded Rp 16.35 trillion of revenues in the first semester of 2019, rose by 22.9% compared to Rp 13.3 trillion in the same period of 2018.
Sigit Wahono, General Manager Communication of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SMGR) stated that the increased revenues were in line with the increase in sales. "In terms of sales, we experienced an increase on a consolidated basis, but we have a decline in separately," he said.
In the first semester of 2019, the cement sales volume was recorded at 2.88 million tons, decreased by 3.7% from 2.99 million tons in the same period of 2018. The SMCB sales amounted to 3.82 million tons, rose by 27.75% from 2.99 million tons.
According to him, the sales decrease of SMGR in the first semester of 2019 was due to the decrease of demand in the beginning of this year, including holiday season (ie. Eid Mubarak Holiday, etc). (LK/W)
