JAKARTA - PT Wijaya Karya Beton Tbk (WTON) will increase the factory capacity to respond the growing infrastructure demand related to the move of Indonesian capital city, DKI Jakarta to Samarinda, in East Kalimantan.
Imam Sudiyono, Director Finance of PT Wika Beton Tbk (WTON) stated that the company tried to anticipate the increasing demand in infrastructure next year, as the government to focus on infrastructure in the period of 2020-2024. “We happen to have land for factory preparation in East Kalimantan; we have about 26 hectares; so, we just need to add the capacity over there,” he said.
According to him, by adding the Beton’s factory capacity, the company is optimistic to reach double-digit revenues in the next five years. In addition, he said, data shows that the infrastructure growth to be above 9% per year. (LK/W)
