JAKARTA - PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) is seeking a fresh fund worth US$ 350 million to support the electric steam power plant (PLTU) in Halmahera Timur, Maluku.
Suherman, Corporate Secretary of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) stated that the company required an investment to build the electric steam power plant, but had not been decided about source of funds. "We are in the discussion process with PT Aneka Tambang about the project, because the company also needs diesel power plant for the smelter that needs more electric supply," he said.
On the other side, the company also allocates the investment worth US$ 1,68 billion to build the Electric Steam Powerplant (PLTU) in Sumsel 8. The fund for the powerplant was supported by the Bank Export-Import China (Chexim). (LK/W)
