State-controlled PTBA has been one of largest coal producers in Indonesia, with production capacity of 30 million tonnes annually. It expects to increase production capacity at least 30% this year in line with the expansion of Tarahan Port opening this mid 2014.
At the same time, it can maintain efficiency and profitability with profit margin around 15% in 2013 even when the price down about 20%-30%. With export cover 54% sales in 2013, it targets global market including Korea, Taiwan, Japan, China, Malaysia.
