Food manufacturer PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) will keep innovating its products, in line with expansion and diversification after entering beverages industry and several corporate actions this year.
As earlier reported, it set capital expenditure of Rp9.6 trillion for investment this year. It has joint venture with Japanese Asahi to build a beverage plant valuing US$200 million in the country, which will start operating late this year. Indofood also has stakes in sugar planter Roxas in Philippines.
The company affiliated with Salim Group posted net profit Rp2.29 trillion in the first half 2014, rising 34.4% from that of the earlier year period. At the same time, the largest noodle producer with brand Indomie booked 26.5% growth in revenue to Rp34.07 trillion.
