JAKARTA - Beer brewer and distributor of famous Anker and San Miguel, PT Delta Djakarta Tbk (DLTA) noted its nets sales increased 40% to Rp430 billion in the first quarter 2016. Management hopes this quarter’s positive performance is precursor to upcoming semesters of this year.
“For the performance of the first quarter 2016, it was showing a slight increase or improvement, compared with the previous year. We expect this momentum will continue until the next quarters in 2016,” Alan Fernandez director of Delta Djakarta said at the company’s public expose in Jakarta during mid May.
Delta dedicated a capital expenditure of up to Rp4 billion to finance its routine operations in the first quarter this year. He added, “We did not have other significant activities that required a large capex in this first quarter 2016.”
At the same time, management is considering to pick up another beverage business lines, that of non-alcoholic beverages. He commented, “For non-alcoholic, it becomes a segment which we are thinking about. We are still completing the study about it.” (CH)
