JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) sets up the non performing loan (NPL) target around 2.4% until the end of 2017. During the first quarter 2017, NPL noted 2.16% as decreasing than the same period in 2016 with 2.22%.
The Director of PT BRI Tbk, Haru Koesmahargyo, said the management maintains the NPL and the cost of credit in line to keep stable performance. “We want to see if the overall is maintained at 2.4%. We did this at the beginning, but in the end the target is a 2.4% cost of credit and the coverage that we mentioned earlier, at least 150%-200%,” he said, in Jakarta.
Some factors for the NPL in the first quarter 2017 are loans in commercial sector, corporate, and private sector. The NPL for commercial loan and corporate is 7.34% and 3.69%. In the same period of 2017, the corporate loan of BRI reached Rp 182.1 trillion, increasing 17.6% than the same period in 2016. (LK)
