JAKARTA. Arsjad Rasjid, Head of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is optimistic about obtaining investment commitments of over IDR 75 trillion throughout the entire B20 Summit following the successful procurement of 18 investment agreements.

During the B20 Summit, an event that leads up to the G20 Summit, in Nusa Dua, Bali, yesterday (13/11), Rasjid revealed that during the B20 Investment Forum on November 11, 2022, Indonesia managed to score 18 investment agreements worth USD 5 billion, or approximately IDR 75 trillion, from 11 different countries.

"Yesterday, we acquired investments in the sustainability sector worth IDR 75 trillion. It did not include today and tomorrow's agreement signings. We will try to obtain as much as we can," Rasjid stated yesterday (13/11). He confidently believes that the total investment will continue to rise during the entire B20 Summit, which continues to take place today (14/11).

Rasjid mentioned that this investment is a way to help to attain the investment target of the government this year, which is set to IDR 1,200 trillion. He hopes that through this year's B20 Summit under Indonesia Presidency, the country will experience a surge in investments, especially in three priority sectors of G20 Presidency of Indonesia, which include the health, green energy transition, and digital transformation sectors.
