JAKARTA - The cost of goods sold of PT Bumi Teknokultura Unggul Tbk (BTEK) was approximately 85% of the revenue noted Rp 103.43 billion in the first quarter 2017. Its cost of goods sold made the gross profit dropped during the first quarter 2017 compared with the same period 2016.
Based on the company's financial report, the largest contribution the company's revenue came from export noted Rp 94.83 billion during the first quarter 2017. While the log and local sales contribution recorded Rp 7.53 billion and Rp 1.06 billion, respectively. In the same period 2016, the export sales contribution to the revenue recorded Rp 185.73 billion and local sales Rp 41.86 billion. While the log contribution to the revenue was zero.
During the first quarter 2016, the net revenue noted Rp 227.60 billion, while the cost of goods sold was around 79.8% of the revenue. And, the gross profit noted Rp 85.84 billion. In the same period 2017, the cost of goods sold noted 85% of the net revenue which made the gross profit decreased amounting to Rp 15.23 billion. And, the gross profit affected the operating profit recorded Rp 6.53 billion or dropped compared with the same period 2016 noted Rp 36.67 billion.
The weakening of company's performance during the first quarter 2017 impacted to the loss for the year noted Rp 7.74 billion or worse compared with the same period 2016 noted Rp 105 million. Therefore, the company's loss per share noted Rp 1.34 per share and in the same period 2016, its earning per share recorded Rp 0.09 per share. (LK)
