JAKARTA - Until the end of the first quarter of 2019, PT Kapuas Prima Coal Tbk (ZINC) absorbed Rp 28.4 billion of the company’s total budgeted capex of US$ 10 million. The capex was allocated for the purchase of machinery and vehicles as well as additional mining infrastructure of Rp 23 billion.

ZINC Finance Director Hendra William said the company’s production volume until April 2019 reached 19,966 tonnes, which consisted of zinc and lead. “Sales as of April 2019 reached US$ 18.55 million,” he said as quoted by Kontan.co.id, Monday (20/5).

In Q2, Mr William added, ZINC will rely on its second flotation plant. If the plant can operate as planned, production capacity is expected to grow at least 50% every month.

“Our focus now is on our second flotation plant and ensuring that all of the ores mined are high-content ores in order to make use of production efficiency and the flotation plant, and thus a high profit margin can be achieved,” Mr William concluded. (MS)
