PPRO prepares to work on 500 hectare project of new capital city

JAKARTA - PT PP Properti Tbk (PPRO) prepares a property project on an area of ​​500 hectares, which will be carried out in the vicinity of the new capital city, in East Kalimantan, with the Joint Venture (JV) cooperation.

Taufik Hidayat, President Director of PPRO, said that the plan for developing the project had been prepared since about four months ago, since President Joko Widodo brought up the discourse of moving the capital city from Jakarta to Kalimantan. On Monday (8/26) today, Hidayat said, Joko Widodo has announced two cities in East Kalimantan as candidates for the new capital city, in Kutai Kartanegara and North Penajam Paser.

"We will take the right steps of investments," said Hidayat, today.

Hidayat added that a number of investors had offered to PPRO, to establish cooperation in this property development projects with a mixed use concept in the 500 hectare areas. The PPRO potential partners offer the JV concept, but Hidayat has not been able to provide further information. "Currently, there are several prospective investors, who are interested to cooperate," said Hidayat. (KR/W)
