JAKARTA. PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) and PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (SMCA), two of the largest television broadcasting companies in Indonesia, recorded a significant audience share growth during November 2019.

Kresna Hutabarat, an analyst for Mandiri Sekuritas, said that the growth of SCMA Group's audience share reached 30 bps (prime time) and 120 bps (non-prime time), supported by Indosiar's prime time audience share which rose by 170 bps and non-prime time by 150 bps. However, SCTV's audience share fell 140 bps (prime time) and 30 bps (non-prime time).

"TV stations belonging to SCMA Group also continue to promote the FTV series, which attract more viewers and can be rebroadcasted on the Vidio platform," Hutabarat said on Thursday (5/12) today.

Meanwhile, MNCN Group's audience share growth reached 20 bps (prime time) and 140 bps (non-prime time) in the same period. The growth was supported by RCTI's non-prime time audience share which reached 70 bps, and MNC TV and Global TV at 40 bps each.

"This growth is also supported by the Asia Pre-Cup broadcast program and Sea games," Hutabarat said. "The featured program of Indonesian Idol RCTI is also a strong driver of audience," he added. (KR)
