JAKARTA. PT Pegadaian (Persero) closed down 76 of its branch offices in 2019.
Sales Director of Pegadaian, Damar Latri Setiawan said the closure of the branch offices must be done because there are areas that not considered profitable in the long-term. "Last year, there were 76 branch offices that were closed," Damar said in Jakarta on Monday (3/2).
Damar said that Pegadaian would rely on synergy of partnerships with agents to boost its business. Marketing through digital channels is another step chosen by the company.
As of the end of 2019, Pegadaian had distributed Rp 50.3 trillion in funding, and served 13.8 million customers. (AM/AR)
