Harum Energy's coal export to China has not been disrupted

JAKARTA. Although export to China has not been disrupted yet, PT Harum Energy Tbk (HRUM) has prepared alternative markets.

This was revealed by President Director of HRUM, Ray Antonio Gunara that so far, HRUM's coal exports to China have not been disrupted amid coronavirus sentiment. But it continues to monitor the market situation and prepare alternative markets.

"This effort is to anticipate the possibility of the Chinese market being disrupted in the foreseeable future," he said on Tuesday (11/2).

According to the company's financial statements, in Q3 2019, its total sales reached US$ 200.28 million. Of that figure, US$ 108.62 million came from coal export to the East Asian region, including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and China.

In terms of operational performance, HRUM managed to produce coal slightly above 4 million tons last year, means the company managed to reach its production target for 2019. (AM/AR)
