JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is currently building Flyover Purwosari in Solo that aims to overcome congestion due to crossing of the Solo-Yogyakarta railroad track.
“We were assigned to repair or sterilize approximately 500 level crossings with highways along the Jakarta-Surabaya semi-fast railroad crossings. We will build a flyover and underpass to the pedestrian bridge (JPO) including the improvement of the surrounding environmental roads," said PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono some time ago.
This flyover has a length of 700 meters with a road approaching 202.40 meters (West) and 240.68 meters (East). The fly over construction was carried out by PT. Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk at a cost of Rp 104.672 billion.
The flyover construction began after the contract date of January 8, 2020 by mobilizing heavy equipment and steel fabrication on the east and west sides of the railroad, working on the borpile, pedestrian box, and retaining wall structure work. Until February 14, 2020, the construction progress reached 0.877% of the planned 0.377%, with an implementation period of 348 calendar days until December 20, 2020. (LM)
