JAKARTA. PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) has made some adjustments to anticipate the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, in order to lower cash costs amid fluctuations in global commodity prices.
Senior Vice President Corporate Secretary at Antam Kunto Hendrapawoko said that although coronavirus had not yet been directly affecting daily operations, it has caused a decline in commodity prices.
On the other hand, the pandemic also threatened the production and sales of a number of mining commodities, such as nickel ore and its derivatives. However, said Kunto, Antam still had no intention of submitting a revision of its Work Plan and Budget (RKAB). "At present ANTM has no plan to revise the RKAB," Kunto said as quoted by Kontan.co.id, Monday (3/23).
Kunto explained that at present, Antam is still preparing scenarios to anticipate the effects of the Corona pandemic on Antam's performance this year. "ANTAM is still exploring scenarios that might occur as a result of the Covid-19 endemic," he said. (AM/AR)
