JAKARTA - PT Bank BRIsyariah Tbk (BRIS) notched an impressive 150.04% increase in net profit, from Rp 30.06 billion in Q1 2019 to Rp 75.16 billion in Q1 2020.
The growth was supported by a 18.43% increase in revenue from fund management as mudharib, from Rp 811.32 billion in Q1 2019 to Rp 960.84 billion in Q1 2020. There was also a 4.40% decrease in third parties' share on return, from Rp 344.66 billion in Q1 2019 to Rp 329.50 billion in Q1 2020, resulting in a 35.29% increase in the bank's share in profit sharing, rising from Rp 466.67 billion in Q1 2019 to Rp 631.33 billion in Q1 2020.
Furthermore, the company netted a 49.88% increase in provision for impairment losses on earning and non-earning assets and a slight 4.77% increase in operational expenses. (ARM/AC)
