JAKARTA. In the first half (1H) of 2020, PT Waskita Beton Precast (BSBP) booked a net profit of Rp 5.18 billion, 98.62% lower than its record in 1H 2019 of Rp 376.73 billion.
The massive decline in net profit was in line with the decline in the company's revenue which was only recorded at Rp1.1 trillion, 71.2% lower than its record in 1H 2019 of Rp 3.82 trillion.
Meanwhile, WSBP recorded an increase in liabilities. Short-term debt from third parties rose from Rp 1.61 trillion in December 2019 to Rp 2.08 trillion.
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company obtained new contracts with a total value of Rp 1.3 trillion, 67% of them were external contracts.
Anton YT Nugroho, Finance Director of PT Waskita Beton Precast Tbk stated that WSBP would continue to increase sales of its products and services. (AM/AR)
