JAKARTA - During the period of August 24-28, 2020, the Indonesian Capital Market moved varied but remained closed in the positive zone.
The highest increase last week occurred in the average daily transaction volume of the stock exchange by 26.64 percent to 15.085 billion shares from the previous week's 11.912 billion shares. This was followed by a 15.56 percent increase from the average daily transaction frequency to 792,960 thousand transactions from 686,170 thousand transactions at the close of the previous week.
The increase was also experienced by the average daily market transaction value on the stock exchange by 3.58 percent to Rp9.432 trillion from Rp9.106 trillion in the previous week. In addition, the stock market capitalization during the week also increased by 1.41 percent to Rp6,199.053 trillion from Rp6,112,631 trillion in the previous week.
The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) also increased by 1.40 percent to 5,346,659 levels from 5,272,810 levels in the previous week. Last Friday, foreign investors recorded a net selling value of Rp 1.133 trillion, while throughout 2020, they recorded a net sale of Rp 26.082 trillion. (LM)
