PasarPolis receives US$ 54 million in Series B funding

JAKARTA. PasarPolis, an Indonesian insurance startup, received US$ 54 million in series B funding from six investors.

Cleosent Randing, Founder and CEO of PasarPolis, said that the funding would help accelerate the insurance business in Southeast Asia. In addition, PasarPolis will also provide more insurance options at affordable prices.

The six investors who participated in the Series-B funding are LeapFrog Investments, SBI Investments, Alpha JWC, Intudo Ventures, Go-Ventures, and Xiaomi. Previously, PasarPolis had also received funding from East Ventures, Gojek, Tokopedia, and Traveloka.

According to the data gathered by idnfinancials.com, PasarPolis started its operations as an insurance product aggregator in 2015. Now, PasarPolis has transformed itself as a provider of insurance solutions, from health insurance to property insurance.

As of 2019, PasarPolis has issued 650 million insurance policies. So far, there have been more than 30 insurance companies in Southeast Asia that have collaborated with PasarPolis. (KR/AR)
