JAKARTA - The Commodity Futures Trading Authority (CoFTRA) has closed 114 domains belonging to illegal futures trading companies in November 2020. This was announced by CoFTRA Head Sidharta Utama ina press release on Tuesday (15/12).
According to Mr Utama, CoFTRA has so far blocked 1,143 domains owned by illegal futures trading companies. "We will continue the effort to restrict access to illegal futures trading companies from Indonesia," he said.
The policy, he added, aims to prevent losses and provide legal assurance for futures traders in Indonesia. Several of the websites were operated by overseas brokers. "Those who are not licenced by CoFTRA are banned from futures trading in Indonesia, despite being licenced overseas," he affirmed. (LK/MS)
