MNCN to give out dividends of IDR 8 per share

JAKARTA. PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) had gained approval during the Annual General Shareholders Meeting regarding its plan to distribute cash dividends of IDR 8 per share, taken out of the net profit in 2020.

In the said meeting a couple of days ago, the shareholders agreed to allocate 6.9% of the net profit gained in 2020, or IDR 120.4 billion, as the dividend. Based on idnfinancials.com data, MNCN scored IDR 1.75 trillion in net profit last year.

“The remaining profit of the company would be stored as the retained earnings to support the company’s capital structure, reduce bank debts on a sustainable balance, and expand the digital sector of the company,” the management explains in detail in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Until today, MNCN management has yet to specify the important dates regarding the distribution and the disbursement of the cash dividend.

As of June 3, 2021, 52.67% of MNCN belongs to PT Global Mediacom Tbk (BMTR). Then, public investors share another 47.26%, while the rest is divided among the directors and commissioners. (KR/ZH)
