JAKARTA – PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk (BLTZ) once again reopen CGV cinemas in Grand Batam Mall, Batam, following the relaxation of Community Activities Restriction Enforcement (PPKM) on September 13, 2021. With the reopening of this cinema in Batam, in total, BLTZ had brought 48 CGV cinemas back to operate.

Quoting the information disclosure on Thursday (23/9), Yeo Deoksu, Director of Graha Layar Prima, confirms that the Batam CGV cinema reopening is equipped with health protocols that are designed according to Ministry of Health guidelines. “The audience and visitors should be at least 12 years old and have been vaccinated with the second dose,” Yeo explains.

According to Yeo, this cinema reopening could hopefully arouse activities from production houses, thus releasing more domestic movies. Additionally, it is envisioned to help revive the economy in the creative industry and open more work opportunities in the CGV cinemas.

By the first half of 2021, BLTZ’s revenue drops to IDR 98.17 billion from IDR 233.83 billion in the same period last year. Additionally, it suffered a loss of IDR 168.03 billion, improving from the loss reported in H1 2020 of IDR 185.46 billion. (LK/ZH)
