JAKARTA – PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) (PLN) would supply the electricity needed for 21 telephone exchanges of PT Telekomnikasi Indonesia Tbk (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) of 17.76 mega volt ampere (MVA). Vice Presdient of Corporate Communication of PLN, Gregorius Adi Trianto, announced the plan earlier today (4/10) in the press release.
According to Trianto, these telephone exchanges would be spread across eight provinces. They include North Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, East Kalimantan, East Java, West Java, Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra. Meanwhile, the power for other Telkom’s needs would be taken out of several sources, thus guaranteeing its reliability.
On the other hand, Edison Sipahutar, Executive Vice President of Customer Services of Corporate and Grand Institutions of PLN, ensured that his company would focus on the power supply to TLKM so that Telkom could support the national digitalisation agenda better. “The sales-purchase agreement of this premium services of power provision could give a positive contribution to Telkom,” he proclaimed.
PLN has levels of services, starting from Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Currently, Telkom manages 79 priority points in the telecommunication network, 37 of which have had access to premium services. (LK/ZH)
