JAKARTA. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) has distributed credits to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) of 67.4% of the total national credits allotment for MSMEs.
The public report of BRI showed that until the third quarter of 2021, MSME credits grew 12.5% year-on-year (yoy), now reaching IDR 848.6 trillion.
Supari, BRI’s Micro Business Director, observed that business credits for MSMEs of BRI have indicated positive inclinations in the past four to five months. They have now reached above the previous position pre-COVID-19 despite the strict mobility restriction policies.
Supari also mentioned that the capacity of saving funds of MSME owners showed a positive trend. Prior to the pandemic, the growth percentage touched 16%. It then slowed down to 5.8% once the pandemic started in 2020. Fortunately, it was revived in Q3 2021, increasing 6.3%. He also projected that this trend would continue to move up, nearing its pre-pandemic records. (AM/ZH)
