Petrosea eyes over USD 1 billion worth of new contracts in 2022

JAKARTA. PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO) set the target for the new contracts in 2022 of USD 1 billion or more. The non-mining sector becomes its main source in achieving the said target.

Hanifa Indradjaya, President Director of Petrosea, believed that the next year’s contract must proliferate but could not specify the range of the growth compared to this year’s new contract target.

“This year, we have backlogged the long-term contracts of USD 1 billion. Last year, it was approximately USD 1 billion as well. Thus, the sum of the existing and new contracts amounts to USD 1 billion or more,” Indradjaya explained through a public expose earlier today (23/12).

Indradjaya further mentioned that by far, the company’s primary strategy consisted of diversification, digitalisation, and decarbonisation. Through diversification, the company could also seek new customers in the non-coal mining industry. The target of users is new mine owners, especially mineral mines in high demands for electrification, like bauxite, cobalt, and nickel.

Meanwhile, in the digitalisation sector, in addition to achieving the best standard of operation, it also enhances the company’s preposition value. It would allow the company to become the partner that could offer more than just a contractor. (AM/ZH)
