JAKARTA – PT Mulia Industrindo Tbk (MLIA), a glass manufacturer, posted a net profit of IDR 647,24 billion in 2021. It massively multiplied 1.074% from IDR 55.08 billion in 2020. This jump resulted from its successful efficiency in the cost of revenue and high foreign exchange gains.

In the 2021 Financial Report published today (28/3), Eka Tjandranegara, President Director of Mulia Industrindo, mentioned that the net sales clocked up to IDR 4.45 trillion, increasing from IDR 3.73 trillion in 2020. Its gross profit also grew from IDR 823.83 billion to IDR 1.53 trillion. The gain in gross profit was a result of the efficiency strategy implemented by the company, which consistently managed to stabilise costs of sales at IDR 2.91 billion.

The contribution of domestic sales amounted to IDR 3.32 trillion, shifting from IDR 2.73 trillion. Export sales also climbed from IDR 1.06 trillion to IDR 1.28 trillion. This accomplishment indicated the property sector revival amidst the ongoing yet subdued COVID-19 pandemic.

In term of products, glass sheets brought in sales of IDR 2.80 trillion, followed by glass bottles and glass blocks of IDR 1.46 trillion. Safety glass sales also reached IDR 175.79 billion. In comparison, in 2020, glass sheets generated IDR 2.36 trillion, followed by glass bottles and blocks of IDR 1.25 trillion and safety glass of IDR 115.34 billion. (LK/ZH)
