Innovate Capital secures BUMI’s shares via Mandatory Convertible Bonds

JAKARTA – Innovate Capital Pte Ltd enters as the new shareholder of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) through its claim over Mandatory Convertible Bonds (MCB) of 10,223,552,106 Series C shares for IDR 80 each. The company’s total investment reached IDR 817.88 billion.

Dileep Srivastava, Corporate Secretary of Bumi Resources, confirmed that the company issued Series C shares of IDR 50 each to meet the conversion demands from MCB holders.

After the private placement, BUMI now records total issued and paid-up capital of 125,857,665,959 shares that are made up of Series A shares of 20,773,400,000 units, Series B of 53,501,346,007 units, and Series C of 51,582,919,952 units. Prior to this event, its shares used to clock up to 115,634,113,853 units, comprising Series A of 220,773,400,000 units, Series B of 53,501,346,007 units, and Series C of 41,359,367,846 units.

As of January 2022, BUMI’s shares reportedly amount to 74,274,746,007 units. Its shareholders besides public investors are HSBC Fund SVS A/C of 19.99%, Bambang Sihono of 7.56%, and Long Haul Holdings Ltd of 4.14%. (LK/ZH)
