JAKARTA -  PT Sariguna Primatirta Tbk (CLEO), continues to strive to improve ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) aspects for cleaner energy use and company sustainability in line with environmental conservation. One such efforts made by CLEO is to use environmentally friendly alternative energy in the form of Rooftop Solar Power Plants (Solar Roofs) which will be installed in 8 CLEO factories spread across Java.

Melisa Patricia as Deputy President Director of CLEO said, “The installation of the Solar Roofs is one of CLEO's commitments in accelerating the achievement of net-zero carbon emissions in 2060 where, we see that the use of new and renewable energy (EBT) is increasingly being carried out. Therefore, CLEO targets the installation of 8 Rooftop Solar Power Plants in several factories in West Java to East Java. The initial development process is located at the Pandaan Factory, which is CLEO's largest factory and is expected to be ready for operation this year."

The installation of Solar Roofs is one the ideal ways for CLEO to accelerate the achievement of the target of the NRE mix of 23% in 2025 and increasing energy efficiency which leads to a decrease in the Company's operating costs.  To date, the installation of the CLEO Rooftop Generators has reached 25% progress and is entering the inverter installation stage after the completion of the PV (Photovoltaic) module installation. The Rooftop PLTS has a total capacity of 4.2 MWp or 4,186.14 kWp which is connected to the PLN network through an on-grid system. (LM)
