Adaro to take on wind turbine project with Total Eren

JAKARTA. PT Adaro Energy Tbk (ADRO) has reportedly won the tender for the wind power plant construction project in Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan.

Mahardika Putranto, Corporate Secretary of ADRO, revealed that this project will be carried out together with a consortium formed alongside Total Eren S.A. In this collaboration, the company will send one of its subsidiaries, PT Adaro Power (AP), as its representative.

"The company, through the consortium established with Total Eren, has signed the letter of intent with PT PLN (Persero)," Putranto said in the official disclosure.

For the record, this wind turbine project will generate electricity with a capacity of 70 megawatts (MW). This power plant will be equipped with a battery energy saving system of 10 MW/10 MWh.

"This project reflects the company's commitment in developing a greener version of Adaro through the Adaro Green pillar, which focuses on the development of various renewable energy resources," Putranto explained.

The value of this joint operation project is not specified. However, Putranto reaffirmed that this project will not cause significant material impact on the company's operational activities. (KR/ZH)
