PT Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk (HMSP) or Sampoerna was founded in 1913 by the Sampoerna Family in Surabaya. Its first brand was Dji Sam Soe. In May 2015, the company became a subsidiary of PT Phillip Morris Indonesia, a part of Phillip Morris International Inc. The company manufactures other brands of cigarettes, such as A Mild, Sampoerna Hijau, and U Mild. The company also distributes the products of PT Phillip Morris Indonesia, named Marlboro, in Indonesia. There are six factories which are located in Pasuruan, Karawang, Surabaya, Malang, and Probolinggo. The head office is located on Jl. Rungkut Industri Raya 18 Surabaya, with a representative office in Jakarta.
