JAKARTA - PT Resources Alam Indonesia Tbk (KKGI) has distributed 168.03 million shares, obtained through the latest buyback, to its shareholders and as a part of Management and Employee Stock Ownership Program (MESOP) worth IDR 70.91 billion.

In the information disclosure quoted Wednesday (24/1), Agoes Soegiarto Soeparman, Director of KKGI, mentioned the distributed shares originate from the first period of buyback from October 29, 2012, to April 28, 2014, as well as second period of buyback from June 6, 2014, to December 5, 2015.

“The total shares repurchased in both periods are 179.87 million, 170 million of which are distributed to shareholders proportionally, while the remaining 9.87 million are allocated as Management Stock Option Plan (MSOP)," Soeparman added.

The number and value of those distributed shares actually differ, compared to the number of shares allocated during the recording date on December 19, 2023, which was 168.07 million worth IDR 90.91 billion. It is due to the buyback shares were distributed with a ratio of 250:9.

With said ratio applied, there were some shareholders with portions below the ratio, thus disabling them from gaining full portion of their buyback shares.

The recipients of buyback shares, according to the Official Register of Shareholders recorded during the General Meeting of Shareholders on December 7, 2023, are 5 billion shares. The common shareholders entitled to those buyback shares represent 4.6 billion shares.

As of December 2023, controllers owned 27.11% of KKGI’s shares, while non-controller had 72.89%. (LK/ZH)
