Foreign trades drop again, net sell 130.28 million shares

JAKARTA – On Wednesday, April 16, foreign investor transactions on the Indonesia Stock Exchange ended with a net sell once more. If there was a net sell of 781.40 million shares in foreign transactions on the previous trading day, the number dropped to 130.28 million shares today.
The volume of foreign trade today also decreased in comparison to the 3–4 billion shares that were traded on the previous trading day (15 April). Just 3.10 billion shares of stock were purchased by foreign investors all together today. Today, foreign investors registered a net sell of only 130.28 million shares, compared to a sales volume (foreign sell) of 3.23 billion shares.
Shares of PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) saw the largest net sell volume of the day. This mining parent issuer net sold 191.12 million shares after its overseas investors purchased 154.92 million shares and sold over 346.05 million shares.
After that, PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA), a mining contractor, made a net sell of 61.20 million shares. 34.71 million shares were purchased by DEWA's overseas investors, and 95.91 million shares were sold.
The national bank, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), and the coal business, PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO), subsequently realized net sell volumes of 32.73 million BBNI and 36.17 million ADRO, respectively. Both issuers' sales volume was around 44 million shares. However, ADRO's buying volume was only 8.72 million shares, whereas BBNI's was about 11.29 million.
After its foreign investors purchased 61.04 million shares but sold 88.66 million, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) closed the top sell list with a net sell of 27.62 million.
In the meantime, the most traded stock is still PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO). Today , 1.03 billion GOTO shares were sold, and 1.12 billion shares were purchased by foreigners. Additionally, a net buy of 84.27 million shares of this digital service issuer was reported.
PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) and PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) shares were next, with net buy volumes of 57.33 million ANTM and 65.72 million BIPI, respectively. Only 2.80 million shares were sold by BIPI foreign investors, who purchased 68.53 million shares. Meanwhile, 51.85 million shares were sold, and 109.19 million were purchased by foreign investors in ANTM.
Then, PT J Resources Asia Pasifik Tbk (PSAB), a gold investment issuer, and PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), an energy and industrial business, each made a net buy of 26 million shares.
Nevertheless, PSAB had a higher volume of international transactions than BRPT. The volume of foreign purchases and sales for BRPT was 54.37 million and 27.81 million, respectively. In the meantime, PSAB's foreign investors sold about 48 million shares, with a buy volume of 74.01 million. (KD)
