JAKARTA - The growth of data center investments, increasing adoption of digital services, and the need for uninterrupted operations are driving demand for reliable and sustainable power systems in Indonesia.

As the digital economy expands, Indonesia is becoming an increasingly important market for data center development in the region. The country’s data center market is estimated to be worth around US$3.1 billion by 2025 and is projected to continue growing in the coming years¹.

Amid this development, the need for a stable power supply has become a key concern across various sectors, particularly mission-critical facilities such as data centers, hospitals, industries, and commercial buildings. Even brief power disruptions can impact services, productivity, and system security.

In response to these needs, Legrand introduced a range of solutions, including uninterruptible power supply (UPS), power distribution systems, and busducts, at the Legrand Technology Summit 2026 held in Jakarta on April 22, 2026.

The products introduced include the UPS HPi33, UPS Keor MOD+, UPS Keor MP, UPS Keor DK, as well as the LINKK Busduct, all designed to support operational continuity, efficient power distribution, and the expansion needs of modern infrastructure.

In addition to the product launch, the forum also featured discussions with industry players on the readiness of power infrastructure to support Indonesia’s digital growth.

The first panel brought together representatives from BDX Data Centers, Princeton Digital Group Indonesia, Greencomm Consultant Indonesia, and Legrand Southeast Asia to discuss the development of resilient and scalable electrical infrastructure for data centers.

Meanwhile, the second panel featured representatives from the Indonesian Electrical Experts Association (HAEI), Metromedia Elmeka Engineering, Jaya Karya Integrasi, and Legrand Indonesia, focusing on the design of reliable backup power systems for various mission-critical environments.

“As digital transformation continues to accelerate, the need for reliable and secure electrical systems is becoming increasingly important. Collaboration among industry players, associations, and technology stakeholders is key to ensuring the sustainable development of Indonesia’s electrical infrastructure,” said Ir. Achmad Sutowo Sutopo, Chairman of the Himpunan Ahli Elektro Indonesia.

Therefore, power infrastructure needs to be planned from the outset so that it is scalable and ready to support long-term needs,” said Agus Hartono Wijaya, CEO of BDX Indonesia.

As the digital economy continues to accelerate, power infrastructure is expected to become one of the main focuses of technology investment in Indonesia.
