Now part of Sinarmas Group, MORA lists FWA and FTTH targets this year

JAKARTA – PT Ekamas Mora Republik Tbk (MORA) is ready to accelerate its operational performance after completing its merger with MyRepublic, an internet service provider owned by Sinarmas Group, on 22 April 2026.

In its 2026 Public Expose, MORA management revealed expansion targets of up to 5 million homepasses to strengthen its Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network coverage across 186 cities and regencies, as well as an additional 1.5 million retail subscribers.

Following the merger between MORA and MyRepublic, the company currently has a total of 12.7 million homepasses as of April 2026, with total subscribers reaching 2.6 million and more than 17,000 enterprise customers.

In addition, MORA will begin focusing on its Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) project over the next five years across 180 cities, after successfully winning the 1.4 GHz frequency auction for regions II and III, covering Sumatra, Bali and Nusa Tenggara, as well as Kalimantan and Sulawesi.

For 2026, MORA will build 1,000 FWA sites in the relevant areas.

According to MORA President Director and CEO Timotius Sulaiman, as of April 2026, the company already has more than 200 on-air FWA sites spread across 90 cities in Indonesia.

“Therefore, the addition in the retail segment will be very rapid and continue the growth that has occurred in previous years,” Timotius added.

Jimmy Kadir, MORA Director and Chief Business Control Officer (CBCO), said the company’s performance growth in 2025 was supported by balanced growth across the FTTH or retail segment, enterprise segment, and wholesale segment.

For example, the FTTH or retail segment recorded a 36% year-on-year increase in homepasses, while subscribers rose 40%, driving segment revenue up 38%.

“For the enterprise segment, we saw customer growth, increasing 40% to 17,000 customers. For wholesale ... the wholesale segment contributed an increase of around 9%, reaching IDR 876 billion,” Jimmy said.

Furthermore, Timotius added that network coverage expansion will also be supported by the development of the Rising 8 submarine cable backbone system, which stretches 1,128.5 km from Jakarta to Batam and Singapore.

“The company targets completion and readiness for service of the Rising 8 backbone network’s Jakarta-Batam segment in June 2026 ... and construction will continue towards Singapore,” he added. (ZH)
