JAKARTA – PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (MTDL) reported net profit of IDR 313.7 billion in the first half of 2026, up 6.6% from IDR 294.3 billion in the same period last year.

The increase in net profit was supported by revenue growth, with the company generating IDR 13.6 trillion in the first half of 2026, up 16.7% year on year from IDR 11.7 trillion in the first half of 2025.

MTDL president director Susanto Djaja said the company continued to deliver profit growth despite intensifying market competition and tighter information and communications technology (ICT) spending by customers.

"The company continued to post net profit growth despite fierce market competition and tighter ICT spending by customers. Although sales recorded double-digit growth, these two factors resulted in net profit expanding only at a single-digit rate," Susanto said in a statement on Tuesday (29/7).

The distribution business remained the company's largest source of revenue, contributing IDR 10.5 trillion, or around 76% of total revenue.

The segment recorded 22% revenue growth, driven primarily by higher sales of smartphones, PCs and notebooks.

Meanwhile, the solutions and consulting business generated revenue of IDR 3.4 trillion in the first half of 2026.

Susanto added that the quality of revenue from the segment continued to improve, reflected in the contribution of recurring revenue, which rose to 57.5% in the first half of 2026 from 41.1% in the corresponding period last year.

Growth in recurring revenue was mainly supported by cloud services, business applications and digital business platforms.

According to Susanto, the company's business outlook is also supported by a growing order book, particularly from recurring projects.

"We are grateful that the company's order bookings, particularly from recurring projects, continue to show strong growth," he said.

In its digital solutions and consulting business, the company plans to strengthen its solutions offering while expanding partnerships with new principals.

Meanwhile, its digital distribution business will optimise its product and solutions portfolio to support future growth.

In Friday's (31/7) morning session, MTDL shares were unchanged at IDR 515 as of 9:12 AM. Over the past month, the stock has gained 1.98%, although it remains down 13.45% since the start of 2026. (DK/ZH)
