Welcoming August, foreign trading closed in net sell

JAKARTA – Kicking off the month of August, foreign investors trading on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on Monday (3/8) closed in a net sell position.

On the previous trading day, Friday (31/7), foreign trading closed with a net sell of 854.26 million shares. However, this figure plunged further to a net sell of 1.07 billion shares today.

Even so, total foreign trading volume increased on both sides. Foreign buy volume rose from 4.17 billion shares to 5.20 billion shares, and foreign sell volume also increased from 5.02 billion shares to 6.27 billion shares.

Top Buy

• PT DMS Propertindo Tbk (KOTA) led the top buy list with a volume of 73.33 million shares. Foreign investors bought 572.89 million shares, but sold under 500 million shares.

• PT Bank KB Indonesia Tbk (BBKP) recorded a net buy volume of 64.30 million shares. Foreign transactions were recorded at 64.61 million bought and just 308,900 shares sold.

• PT Graha Andrasentra Propertindo Tbk (JGLE) registered a net buy of 56.69 million shares. Its foreign trading was recorded with 395.69 million shares bought and 338.99 million shares sold.

• PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) secured a net buy of 45.74 million shares. The issuer posted a buy volume of 139.16 million shares and a sell volume of 93.41 million shares.

• PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) followed with a net buy of 44.21 million shares. Its foreign trading was recorded with 82.83 million shares bought and 38.62 million shares sold.

Top Sell

• PT Intermedia Capital Tbk (MDIA) led the top sell list with a volume of 175.58 million shares. Foreign investors bought 157.82 million shares, but sold 333.40 million shares.

• PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) saw a net sell of around 118.47 million shares. Its foreign transaction volume was logged at 99.10 million shares bought and 217.58 million shares sold.

• PT Lippo Karawaci Tbk (LPKR) recorded a net sell volume of 94.24 million shares. Foreign transactions were recorded at only 12.47 million shares bought and 106.72 million shares sold.

• PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) trailed behind with a net sell volume of 90.55 million shares after foreign investors bought 30.18 million shares, but sold 120.74 million.

• PT Eagle High Plantations Tbk (BWPT) closed with a net sell of 76.58 million shares. Foreign investors bought 73.88 million shares, but sold 150.47 million shares. (KD)
