Jembo Cable records Rp 50.54 billion in comprehensive profit

JAKARTA  - Despite its revenue increasing, the profit of PT Jembo Cable Company Tbk (JECC) declined in the first semester of 2018 due to the increasing cost of goods sold. Its comprehensive profit was recorded at Rp 50.54 billion, decreasing from Rp 55.04 billion in the first semester of 2017. 

Based on the company's financial report, the company's revenue was recorded at Rp 1.42 trillion in the first semester of 2018, rising 39.8% from Rp 1.02 trillion in the same period of 2018, while its cost of goods sold was Rp 1.26 trillion, and its gross profit Rp 161.14 billion or 11.27% of the sales revenue. In the same period of 2017, the company's cost of goods sold was Rp 870.07 billion and its gross profit Rp 152.34 billion or 14.9% of the sales revenue.

Electricity cable contributed Rp 1.03 trillion to the sales revenue, followed by telephone cable Rp 159.88 billion, and others Rp 230.91 billion. Electricity cable contributed Rp 739.17 billion, telephone cable Rp 168.68 billion, and others Rp 114.49 billion in the same period in 2017. (LK)
