JAKARTA. PT Delta Djakarta Tbk (DLTA) is optimistic that this year's revenue can grow by 10% compared to last year's with a sales target of Rp 897.79 billion.

Marketing Director of DLTA, Rony Titheruw, said that the company would focus on expanding overseas, including to Vietnam and Thailand. The two Southeast Asian countries are potential markets for beer.

"Vietnam and Thailand have the potential for beer.  Besides, with the presence of exports, it will help the government to strengthen the rupiah," he told Kontan.co.id, on Sunday (27/1).

DLTA already has a number of export markets, but the ones active currently are Timor Leste and Taiwan only. DLTA also hopes for the sale of the sweet-flavoured beer, Anker Lychee, which was released last December.

An analyst at Oso Sekuritas, Sukarno Alatas said that DLTA's current net sales target is achievable. The reason is that since 2016, DLTA always achieved 70% of the sales target in the third quarter of the year.

"In the third quarter of last year, the sales was recorded at Rp. 627.76 billion, meaning that if annualized, sales could reach Rp. 816.18 billion, it could even exceed that," he said. (AM/AR)
