SMR Utama anticipates revenue decline by boosting production

31 January 2019 13:27

JAKARTA. PT SMR Utama Tbk (SMRU) is anticipating a decline in revenue by boosting production equipment utilities to 85% this year.

SMRU Finance Director Ricky Kosasih said the company's current production performance target consists of overburden removal of 38 million bank cubic metres (bcm) as well as 3.5 million tonnes of coal production. This year SMRU's overburden removal has increased 15.15% compared to last year's realisation of 33 million tonnes bcm.

In addition, this year SMRU relies on contracts from major coal mining companies such as PT Berau Coal Energy and PT Gunung Bara Utama. This contract has been obtained since last year. "We are currently in the negotiation stage for the addition of a work location at PT Berau Coal," Mr Kosasih said as quoted by Kontan, Thursday (31/1).

In 2018, SMRU revenue was estimated to reach Rp 850 billion. Even so, Mr Kosasih has not been able to respond to this because he needs to conduct an annual audit. "We cannot share it yet, because it is still being audited annually," explained Mr Kosasih. (KR/MS)
