JAKARTA - PT Wilmar Cahaya Indonesia Tbk (CEKA's) sales performance declined in 2018 compared to in 2017. In 2018, the company's net sales was recorded at Rp 3.62 trillion, declined by 15.11% from Rp 4.25 trillion recorded in 2017.
According to the company's financial statements, the decrease in net sales was mainly due to the decrease in domestic market sales from Rp 4.09 trillion in 2017 to Rp 3.44 trillion in 2018. Meanwhile, the company's exports increased from Rp 166.85 billion to Rp 186.49 billion.
In the domestic market, sales of CPO decreased from Rp 2.25 trillion to Rp 2 trillion, while sales of palm kernel products also decreased from Rp 1.63 trillion to Rp 1.30 trillion. Finally, other sales also decreased from Rp 201.94 billion to Rp 134.22 billion. In exports, sales of palm kernel product was recorded at Rp 168.33 billion, increased from Rp 140.12 billion in 2017. Sales of Lilipe products was recorded at Rp 18.16 billion, decreased from Rp 26.73 billion in 2017.
Wilma also experienced a decrease in its business profit, from Rp 284.27 billion in 2017 to Rp 274.35 billion in 2018. Its operating profit also declined from Rp 160.97 billion to Rp 136.83 billion, while the profit for the year was recorded at Rp 92.64 billion, down from Rp 107.42 billion in 2017. (LK/AR)
