Kedaung's domestic sales decreased in 2018

JAKARTA  - PT Kedaung Indah Can Tbk (KICI) recorded a decrease in the domestic market, that affected the company's total net sales in 2018. The company's net sales was recorded at Rp 86.91 billion, decreased from Rp 113.41 billion in 2018.

Based on the company's financial statements, the decrease in the net sales was experienced by all the company's market,  including domestic (Rp 67.11 billion from Rp 81.87 billion in 2017), exports (Rp 17.64 billion from Rp 28.30 billion), and others (Rp 2.16 billion from Rp 3.27 billion).

In 2018,  approximately 23.72% of the company's sales were made to related parties, consisted of PT Nissin Biscuit Indonesia (13.9%), PT Kedawung Subur (13.5%), PT Coronet Crown (13.3%), and The Golden Rabbit II (12.8%). In 2017, about 19.91% of its sales were made to related parties, consisted of PT Nissin Biscuit Indonesia (14.8%), PT Kedawung Subur (9.6%), PT Coronet Crown (14.2%), and The Golden Rabbit II (12.2%).

Based on the geographical segment in 2018, most of the sales were made in Asia (Rp 70.18 billion), followed by America (Rp 14.66 billion) and Africa (Rp 2.07 billion). In 2017, the numbers were as follows:  Asia (Rp 85.78 billion), America (Rp 25.93 billion), Africa (Rp 1.58 billion), and Australia (Rp 98.93 million). 

Kedawung recorded the gross profit of Rp 18.80 billion, down from Rp 29.03 billion in 2017, and operating profit of Rp 172 million, dropped from Rp 11.45 billion. (LK/AR)
