JAKARTA. PT Jembo Cable Company Tbk (JECC) aims to increase its net sales by 10%.

JECC's 2018 financial report revealed that its net sales was recorded at Rp. 3.21 trillion in 2018, 47.25% higher than in 2017 (Rp. 2.18 trillion). Some of the company's net sales were obtained from the sale of low-voltage power cables, including copper cables (Rp 1.2 trillion) and aluminium cables (Rp 494.09 billion).

Furthermore, the sales of medium voltage electricity cables reached Rp 710.61 billion, communication cables (Rp 379.93 billion), and other sales (Rp 428.25 billion).

"The sales have increased significantly, but the growth in cable sales is only about 36%, the rest will be due to the sale of materials," said Independent Director of Jembo Cable, Antonius Benady on Tuesday (9/4).

Although the company's net sales recorded significant growth, its net profit only grew by 6.09% to Rp. 88.43 billion.

He admitted that the net profit this year would tend to be stagnant because this year was a political year. (AM/AR)
