JAKARTA. PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk (ADHI) and PT Adaro Tirta Mandiri (ATM) through PT Dumai Tirta Persada as the implementing entity has signed a cooperation agreement with PDAM (Regional Drinking Water Company) Tirta Dumai Bersemai. The signing aims to develop, operate, and maintain the drinking water provision system in the city of Dumai with a capacity of 450 litres per second (lps).

The agreement is a follow-up to the Auction Announcement Appointment Letter issued by PDAM Tirta Dumai Bersemai on January 18, 2019. Through the signing, PT Dumai Tirta Persada and PDAM Tirta Dumai Bersemai are committed to provide access to clean water for 20,300 household connections.

ADHI CEO Budi Harto explained that major cities suffer from clean water deficit, which prompted the company to invest in drinking water.

The project uses a Public Private Partnership (PPP) scheme with an investment value of Rp 498 billion and concession period of 25 years. (AM/MS)
