GHON prepares CapEx budget of Rp 150 billion to construct 88 new towers

JAKARTA. PT Gihon Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (GHON) is preparing a capital expenditure (CapEx) budget of Rp 150 billion this year, to build 88 new towers.

Monika Ferolina Siallagan, Finance Director of GHON, said that as of last March, a portion of the company's CapEx had been absorbed for the construction of 1 new tower on Java. Monika added that most of the CapEx funds came from bank loans. "For development, we cooperate with banks in semester 1. From PT UOB Indonesia Tbk (UOBI), with a total of Rp 150 billion," Monika said on Friday (24/5) when met by idnfinancials.com.

In addition, Monika also said that the CapEx can be used for the next 1 to 2 years. If GHON's business growth can exceed expectations this year, said Monika, it will increase its capital expenditure budget. "We will see at the growth," Monika said.

In fact, GHON also opens up the possibility of obtaining new loan facilities, if it gets a large number of new telecommunications tower construction contracts. (KR/AR)
