JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) will operate new toll road sections by the end of 2019. The new sections aim to resolve the increasing volume of vehicles, particularly during the Christmas and New Year holiday season.
Jasa Marga Corporate Secretary M. Agus Setiawan said that the company is undertaking a series of preparations to anticipate the Christmas and New Year holiday seasons to serve road users, much like during this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr holiday season.
“Inshallah, there will be new [toll road] sections in line with the 2019 operational target. We expect part of the JORR-2 and Jakarta Elevated sections will be operational [by the end of the year],” Mr Setiawan told Kontan.com, Monday (10/6).
During the 2018 Christmas and New Year holiday season, vehicle volume at the Cikampek Toll Gate increased 25.68% to 286,172 vehicles. The amount is predicted to grow this year just like during the Eid holiday season. (MS)
