JAKARTA - PT Indika Energy Tbk (INDY) managed to produce around 11.97 million tonnes of coal until April 2019. INDY Head of Corporate Communication Leonardus Herwindo explained that 11.5 million tonnes were produced by PT Kideco Jaya Agung, while 473,500 tonnes were produced by PT Multi Tambangjaya Utama (MUTU).
In the second quarter of 2019, Mr Herwindo added, INDY will continue to improve the operational efficiency of all of its subsidiaries and strengthen synergy between them to increase Indika Energy Group’s operational productivity.
Meanwhile, through its mining services subsidiary PT Petrosea Tbk (PTRO), INDY managed to complete an overburden project of 28.7 mbcm and a coal getting project of 7.1 metric tonnes until the first quarter.
Currently PTRO is applying mining technology in some of its projects. “Going forward, we expect the technology application can improve the company’s productivity,” said Mr Herwindo as quoted by Kontan.co.id, Monday (10/6). (MS)
