03 July 2019 15:47

JAKARTA - Modalku Group, along with total funding in Singapore and Malaysia, has successfully channeled a business capital loan of Rp 7 trillion to MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) in Southeast Asia. Consistent with several semesters previously, Indonesia was the biggest contributor to the total disbursement value, with amount of around Rp 4 trillion.

The total funding in Southeast Asia has almost doubled compared to the figure at the end of 2018. While during the first half of 2019, Modalku has increased the number of transactions in Southeast Asia to more than 8 times the number of transactions Modalku has been established until the end of 2018, with a total of around 750,000 MSME lending.

Modalku Co-Founder & CEO Reynold Wijaya said, "In the mid-year moment, I feel very proud of the team's hard work that allows this growth rate. But of course, Modalku team can’t stay like this. We will continue to be motivated to innovate. 2019 has not been completed and we still have a lot to achieve. We will work harder to serve as many SMEs as possible in Indonesia and Southeast Asia."

In early 2019, Modalku poured its vision into the theme of the campaign "All MSMEs could get access to funding". It is targeted that in 2019, Modalku can reach as many MSMEs as possible with existing products. (LM)
